Fly into either Pescara airport which is only 45 minutes away by austostrada or else into one of the two airports at Rome. There are two flights daily into Pescara from London Stanstead. The main Rome airport is called Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino or just Fiumicino airport. British Airways and Alitalia have daily flights from London Gatwick. Jet2 has daily flights from Manchester and Leeds Bradford. BMIBaby flies in from Birmingham. There is a train every thirty minutes from the airport to Rome Termini railway station. Fiumicino is around two hours way by car.
The second Rome airport is Ciampino and has daily flights from Stanstead with Ryanair and easyJet, from Bristol and Newcastle with easyJet, from East Midlands, Prestwick and Liverpool with Ryanair and from Manchester and Leeds with Jet2. In order to arrive here from Ciampino it is first necessary to travel into Rome. There are regular bus services including with TerraVision who currently charge €14 or €26 for a return ticket - the bus comes into Rome Termini railway and bus station.
