 Our second visit to MonteViste has been even better than the first (two years ago) and we hope very much there are many more to come. Abruzzo is our idea of holiday heaven and at Torre dei Nolfi it comes complete with guardian angels in the form of Paula and Clive. Thanks to both for the warmth of your welcome and comfort of our stay, and for the fantastic weather! We have now spent 18 nights here over 2 years and have yet to see a cloud in the sky at breakfast time. We are sad to be leaving but cheered by the certain knowledge that we'll be back soon to enjoy this super apartment and fantastic area. Best wishes, Ken, Anne and Edward... Oakham, UK

It's nearly five years since our first stay here and we hope to continue to visit Torre for many years to come. The weather has been fantastic during the day but we have enjoyed the extra warm of flanellette sheets yet again during the cold nights.  This is a beautiful apartment and has been the perfect base from which to catch up with some friends and to explore some more of Abruzzo the second time around. The wonderful meadows are an absolute joy, full of wonderful flowers, serenity and a cooling breeze! Clive and Paula are terrific hosts, (and very creative ones at that!). We shall all look back on this holiday in Italy with great pleasure. It has really been a wonderful experience for us all. The apartment was beyond our expectations with stunning views from the balconies and breakfast/lunch/coffee on the patio.  Thank you Paula and Clive for your oustanding help in making this trip possible for my sisters and I. You have been most patient in offering assistance in the planning, and much needed help with interpreting and in offering a place that has so much attention to detail with warm decour and beautiful craftsmanship. There is so much heart here; it has been the ideal location to enjoy the beautiful scenery of this land and people of Torre dei Nolfi and Bugnara.  The MonteViste holiday apartment is just off the main square in the village, which had things going on every day of our stay. The apartment is lovely, with a balcony looking out over the mountains which makes a great breakfast spot. We explored Sulmona, the abruzzo national park, lake Scanno, as well as numerous medieval villages perched on mountains. Clive and Paula were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and I was very grateful for Clive's support when I had some trouble with our hire car. Highly recommended...  The apartment was amazing; tucked away in a lovel old village. The mountains dominate the skyline in every direction and the little villages climbing up the mountainsides are amazing.  We found our roots and family in Abruzzo. I echo the sentiments of my sisters; anyone wishing to trace their roots and at the same time enjoy the views and the hospitality of a couple who attend to every detail in preparation and execution would find themselves "at home" here from the fisrt turn of the key.  We have had a great week here - enjoyed having a good look round ready for our next visit. The accommodation was perfect, the washing machine an added bonus (especially if you have a 2 year old!). Plenty of space inside and the lovely terrace outside where we sat every evening enjoying the view. The owners were helpful and welcoming and had provided us with thoughtful extras - breakfast for day 1 in case we hadn't been to the supermarket and a bottle of wine.  We arrived at Paula and Clive's apartment a week ago, exhausted and hungry after having a bad experience at another place in Ancona. Praise the Lord that their apartment was free, it has been a complete blessing to have peace restored to the family. We feel that we have been 'stuck' back together again by hospitality.  A wonderful stay in an excellent apartment. As keen chefs we were delighted by the well equipped kitchen and vibrant local market. Day trips to the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo were great as were Scanno and Pineto but our visit to Villa D'Adriana and Villa D'Este at Tivoli were outstanding.
