A Little Bit About Us

We are both originally from the North West of England. In 2003, I was an electronics engineer working in the Lake District and it was at around that time that I decided I really ought to experience a mid-life crisis! So then, in January 2004 we sold our house, bought a camper and a one way ticket and left the shores of Blighty from Newcastle heading for Christiansand in Norway. After travelling extensively in northern Europe we eventually arrived in Abruzzo in central Italy where we bought and restored MonteViste. After seven years here we both speak Italian - I'm about to embark on a Master's in Translation and Interpretation. Paula apart from looking after our guests is currently concentrating on her work - she's a textile artist. Does it look as though Paula's holding my tummy in?... Cheeky!!
